Blog Post #28

One of my favorite creative outlets is writing. I’ve kept a journal for as long as I can remember, and it’s my favorite way to express my emotions. While I don’t write in it every day, I often do whenever I’m particularly emotional or thoughtful. They’re mainly entries without any structure (or grammar for that matter), just my thoughts on a page. But occasionally, I write poems, draw small doodles or include song lyrics I like.

This is what the journal I currently am writing in looks like. I typically buy plain black moleskin brand journals, and this one is lined (I actually prefer blank pages). It’s not very full yet, but I’ve written over a dozen entries so far.

Here’s an example of a page- this is a lyric from “The Difference” by Flume. I sadly left my old journal at school, so I cannot include any photos from that. If you’re ever stressed out, anxious or emotional, I highly recommend keeping a journal! It helps me stop myself from overthinking situations, and always makes me feel better.
